What is the correct way of shutting down the giFT daemon if not in use? Currently I am using a 'killall', but I am sure there is a proper way? Thanks |

terminating a programm/daemon with killall is not so bad, the init.d do it in a similar way (only they record the PID somewhere)
just don't use killall -9 if you don't need it. |
