Hello!

Has anyone successfully managed to configure Courier for local mail delivery? I just can't get Couriert ESMTP to accept mails for localhost, e.g. sven@localhost. It gives me a 513 syntax error. It seems like Courier ESMTP wants a fully qualified domain name, because @localhost.home.local does work. I have set localhost as a local domain for local delivery in the Courier configs though! It's set in /etc/courier/locals and /etc/courier/esmtpacceptmailfor.dir/local (which is a link to the first file).

I am using Courier 0.45.4.

Thanks for any help!

I have never used couier, but try googling. If you want a easy setup for local mail try postfix.
