estoy intentando emular photoshop 7 en mi gentoo con wine y este es el mensaje que me da.

Probando photoshop con wine ?

Me parece bastante retorcido teniendo gimp2 y algun qe otro editor mas. De todas formas suena a qe tefalta alguna configuracion del wine.

No suena tan retorcido si tienes que dar calidad para salidas de publicaciones comerciales.

Yo tengo clientes en el medio gráfico impreso y no pueden cambiar a linux debido a que utilizan el photoshop para crear y perfilar sus imagenes antes de darles salida a prensa.

El asunto esta en que el photoshop utiliza el modo cmyk mientras que el de gimp es rgb y al hacer la conversión de rgb a cmyk en gimp pierdes la perfilación que tienes segun los ajustes de la prensa donde se imprimen y muchas veces esto genera una total perdida de tiempo y dinero en la impresión.

Cuando hablo de perfiles queiro decir que con programas diseñados para este fin puedes obtener lo que vez en pantalla inclusive medido con densitometros y espectrodensitometros color por color a un 90% de exactitud.

Una gama de Cyan, Mangenta, Yellow, Black desde 0% hasta 100% entoda la escala debe estar dentro del 95% 100% para que un trabajo impreso se considere de calidad (Que es por lo que pagan los clientes) nada de pieles naranjas ó rojizas ni cielos violetas ó verdes, todo debe tener el color perfecto ó casí aproximado al maximo para competir.

Lamentablemente aun nuestro querido Gimp no llega a esos standares, y cuando lo haga sere el primero en evangelizar a mis clientes para el cambio.

Si desean más información le aconsejo buscar teoria del color y salidas impresas. Si tienen a algun amigo diseñador ó pueden acceder a alguna litografia e imprenta litografica haganlo va a aprender muchisimo de esto y no habra desperdicio alguno.

En cualquier caso ese no es un error, es un simple warning. A mi en algunos juegos tambien me sale ese mismo mensaje y funcionan a la perfeccion. No se que te estará fallando pero creo que no tiene que ver con ese mensaje.

Gracias por la aclaracion. No estoy metido en el mundo de la edicion fotografica. Y para lo q uso gimp, me sirve lo mismo qe photoshop. Undia qe tenga tiempome interesare por ese mundillo del qe hablas :)

Bueno, he dicidido cortar por lo sano
he desinstalado wine y borrado ~/.wine
lo he instalado de nuevo, e intentado instalar de nuevo photoshop pero no me instala, me dicque que no es compatible con nt 4 pero en el archivo de configuracion le he puesto win95. os pego mi ~/.wine/config

Intentalo haciendo un wine Photoshop.exe --debug ó ve el man de wine para que puedas hacer uso del debug, lo ejecutas desde consola y con la salida que te da puedes saber a que se debe el problema.

Y despues pastea la salida a ver que sucede.

Por hoy esta bien voy a casa son las 6:30pm

Bueno, existe este plugin para usar CMYK con GIMP, aunque parece ser que algo rudimentario (como se dice en la página). Si alguno de tus clientes se anima a probarlo, quizás sea el principio de la evangelización ;)
