Hi , i'm having a huge problem installing Gentoo Stage 1 on my Notebook (Acer Aspire 1501LMi)

emerge system fails:

making install-shlibs in lib/et

...

make[1]: Leaving directory '/var/tmp/portage/e2fsprogs-1.34/work/e2fsprogs-1.34/lib/et
making install-shlibs in lib/ss
make: *** [install-shlibs-libs-recursive] Error 1

!!! ERROR: sys-fs/e2fsprogs-1.34 failed.
!!! Function einstall, Line 388, Exitcode 2
!!! einstall failed

i tried it 2 times and always ended up with that error message and got no clue why it occures

We need a little more of the error that you get. If you can give us a few more lines above what we already got from you. In particular start your copy at a line that starts with a file name followed by a number. That is an error form the compiler and what we really need to help you.

You can also use <shift><pageup> and <shift><pagedown> to scroll the console and see more of the compiler output.

Are you sure you are using page up and page down? Normal up and down should give the inputs you have made but shift + page up and down should let you see more of the compiler output.
