i used basically the same kernel config except in 2.6.17 i enabled CONFIG_SWAP_PREFETCH=y
i don't think this is the problem though. maybe it has something to do with upgrading the kernel? the way that i have to re-emerge nvidia-drivers and vmware-modules after changing my /usr/src/linux symlink to point to the new kernel version.
anyone else have this problem? or a solution? _________________ help the needy |

Starting from kernel 2.6.17 the noexec feature is active by default for some CPUs. Wine has problems with noexec so disable it in boot options noexec32=off should work. |

now if we can just find out why theres a 1-2second lagg with sound...
