|
|
hi, I have some special keys on my keyboard(www, mail, search) bound as follows in my ~/.fluxbox/keys file, but they do not work ingame(ut2004), which is why I bound them to change volume in the first place.
Code: |
None XF86AudioRaiseVolume :ExecCommand amixer set Master 5+
None XF86AudioMute :ExecCommand amixer set Master 0
None XF86AudioLowerVolume :ExecCommand amixer set Master 5-
|
This are the commands i used to bind them (where do these go?)
Code: |
xmodmap -e 'keycode 178 = XF86AudioLowerVolume'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 236 = XF86AudioMute'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 229 = XF86AudioRaiseVolume'
|
Is there any way for them to work in game, or is there another program i'll have to use to bind them, or what? |

i have the same problem with et.
afaik the fb keycatcher goes bye-bye as soon as you fire up a full screen game. basically i guess it listens _after_ they "went through" the game. however, the game tries to make sense of them and doesnt pipe them through. i hope they fix this in a later fluxbox release.
but maybe i'm wrong and there is a way to do this _________________ If you loved me, you'd all kill yourselves today.

Why don't you try lineakd to map keys?
x11-misc/lineakd
Homepage: http://lineak.sourceforge.net/
Description: Linux support for Easy Access and Internet Keyboards features X11 support
EDIT: Actually I think I also have that problem, volume doesn't change when I'm running a fullscreen game either. I guess this is a global bug. _________________ Ubuntu Linux Dapper Drake running Gnome-2.14.1
