yeah, i think nempo was prolly asking for the 1.1.0 ebuild. i'm interested as well.
so? where are the ebuilds?
BTW, why oh why do programs like galeon 1.3.0 and abiword require that new unicode lib if you have --disable-nls set? or -nls in USE flags?
the bloat is really starting to get to me and they just keep pilling more and more on. argh |

As I said above this is Abiword 1.0.2 with AA enabled! Not 1.1.0! In fact you dont need 1.1.0 for AA fonts because the current version in portage will do AA aswell |

The gdkxft patch is not the solution he's looking for I'm sure, as gdkxft is a hack for just one feature of GTK2 (that is, AA) and requires an LD_PRELOAD before loading of every app, which is a fairly ghetto setup. I think we could really use one of the beta ebuilds, because 1082109823 people would like to have them. This may be more along the lines of an appropriate solution (abiword-cvs) but currently I cannot even get it to get the source correctly, much less compile and install:

Good luck. _________________ -Phil Crosby |

...I'm giving this thread a little BUMP, so I can ask about the new ebuild for 1.1.4.
After compiling, it dies, saying: Quote: | Fontconfig error: line 1: document is not standalone
Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
Fontconfig error: line 1: document is not standalone
Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig
library is not correctly configured. You may need to
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information
about fontconfig can be found in the fontconfig(3) manual
page and on http://fontconfig.org
| So, anyone got it up and running? I'm running the latest unstable xft and fontconfig, and tried re-emerging both as well as abiword, didn't work. undefined _________________ C is for Cookies! |
