I just did a fresh install of gentoo, emerged gnome, kde, enlightenment and fluxbox.
The session files are in /etc/X11/Sessions but when i run gdm and go under Sessions there are no choices for anything but gnome (and some failsafe stuff). In my gdm.conf i have SessionDir=/etc/X11/gdm/Sessions which is linked to /etc/X11/Sessions but still nothing is showing up. _________________ ~executioner |

I think this is something changed in gdm 2.4.4.7, as I've had exactly the same thing following a recent upgrade of gdm on my VMWare based Gentoo install. I think they changed the way sessions are loaded for 2.6 and this has now been backported, so if you have a look on the gdm website for the 2.6 docs you can use those (AFAIK).
Personally, I just threw a few xfce4- commands into an ~/.xsession script and choose the "Custom" option in gdm, but it'd be nice to make it work properly again |
