I am thinking 2004.0 has less bugs than .1, java don't work correctly on 2004.1 for some reason but it did in .0 i don't understand it _________________ ---Nathan Owens |

Are you runing pure GRP? If not then the livecd version you used to install has little to do with the installed system.
What aspect of java isn't working, applications or the plugin, or both?
What does "java-config -o" list"

Hmm, that is strange. Usually if you can get the plugin to load at all your home free, in my experience anyway. Sorry, I'm stumped.(and a bit tired) |

I really think gentoo needs to work on the bugs more or something. java worked fine in .0 but they must have added more bugs to .1 i don't understand it _________________ ---Nathan Owens |

I had a lot of crashing problems with java as well, and it appeared to be a grsecurity issue. (a feature in your kernel to make your system more secure) Because Java doesn't play nice, grsecurity ends the process.
Please look at this bugreport for more details _________________ The best way to accelerate a windows server is by 9.81M/S²
