I emerged "netscape-flash," and it plays the flash files, but as the file plays, a sound delay becomes more and more evident, until the animation is about .75 seconds before the audio. Is there anyway to fix this? It's very annoying. _________________ Registered Linux user #356840

I don't think there is any way to fix it. That is a known issue with the linux version of the flash player and it will continue to be a problem until macromedia fixes it. If you are sending the output through arts that will make it worse, but even playing straight to the oss device the sound will get out of sync. |

Dang. And there's no chance of Macromedia releasing the source code so we can fix it ourselves, is there? _________________ Registered Linux user #356840

As far as I understand it, it's not the audio getting out of synch with the video, it's the video getting out of synch with the audio. It seems this way because the audio always sounds fine in the flash movie, whereas the video looks jerky and a bit inconsistent. _________________ You will release your mind. |
