Hey @all,
und zwar habe ich mir auf einem zweit Rechner ein Gentoo installiert, mit genkernel.
Nun habe ich bei dieser Installation ein Grubsplash, der auch bleiben soll und ein Bootsplash indem halt der ganze Startvorgang auf einem Bild stattfindet. Wie kann ich nun das Bild(Bootsplash) entfernen, den ich habe diesen nirgends beim Installieren eingeschaltet bzw. installiert.
Ich möchte statt dem Bootsplash einfach nur meinen schwarzen Hintergrund, mit grauer bzw. weißer Schrift...so wie auf den Konsolen 2-6.

Hast Du "vga" in deiner Grub oder Lilo Conf gesetzt?
Posten doch mal Deine boot Conf.

Aber bei den anderen PC habe ich "vga=791" eingegeben weil sonst kein Grubsplash kommt, und die Schrift auf der Console riesig ist? Oder?

dann schreibt er mir:

das selbe gilt bei

Danke, werd ich dann gleich probieren.
Mein nächstes Problem was ich habe sind die automatisch erscheinenden NFS-Symbole zu den Mountpoints. aber cih bekomme diese nicht mehr weg.
Wie kann ich die automatisch Erstellten Symbole löschen? Ich würde gerne selbst Symbole dafür erstellen, die ich dann mounten und umounten kann.

sorry das ich mich länger nicht habe, funktioniert leider auch nicht, dann startet er mein linux nicht mehr.
hat sonst noch jemand eine idee?

diese symbole kriegst du weg mit (KDE nehm ich an):
rechte maustaste auf den desktop "Configure Desktop"=>"Behaviour"=>"Device Icons" und dann halt aushaken, was du nicht sehen willst...

ja, danke das mit KDE habe ich bereits hinbekommen, jedoch stört michder bootsplash, kann man den nicht wegmachen? Es soll nur der grubsplash sein, sonst nix.

Nimm das vga=??? am ende der Zeile weg, dann müsste es funktionieren

Aber ist das vga nicht, das ich die konsolenfont kleiner bekomme???
Also statt 80x25 auf Framebuffer 1024x768?
ich will nur das bild weg, die auflösung würde ich gerne bei 1024x768 belassen, da ich sonst eine riesen große Schrift habe.

Dann kompilier dir den Kernel selbst und nimm Bootsplash raus.

Ja danke, ich werde es mal probieren, den Kernel selber zu kompilieren, weiß jemand zufällig unter welchem Menüpunkt ich das mit dem Bootsplash finde? Das mit Framebuffer weiß ich, jedoch soll ja Framebuffer bleiben?
