I just got finished installing gentoo and everything works great except for the fact that there is a slight red tinting on some of the text. (Only the text not everything else) Esp. in the taskbar. I don't know what this is from. Could it be because of the digital LCD instead of analog? Any thoughts would be helpful. I'm using the nvidia driver by the way if it matters. I've tried installing freetype to see if that helps but i haven't had a chance to restart X. |

Try enabling sub pixel rendering on your lcd display. There is a cool guide at amigadave.com. Its for the Vaio, but the principle is very much the same. Also, quick tip Control - Alt - Backspace to quickly restart X ![Smile :-)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
