I'm interested in installing 3 or 4 gcc versions for some experiments. Does any have experience with doing this using ebuilds? Does it cause any nasty interactions I should avoid? This is 2.6.5 kernel amd64 running in 64 bit mode. |

I have both 3.3 and 3.4 installed.
You can use gcc-config to switch between the compilers.
At the moment I'm uisng 3.4 as my default compiler. _________________ "I'd rather have a President who does it to a woman than one who does it to his country" -- Shirley Maclaine

I need to do the same on my inst, but if i try to emerge gcc 3.4 it tray to substitute 3.3 and try to install new glibc (a prerelease, I don't want to do it!).
Is it some tricks about it? |
