Hello everyone.
I installed Gentoo with gento-dev-2.6.5 kernel on a laptop, ASUS A2810 (PIV 2,8, 512 MB ram); I compiled the kernel using genkernel (I told you I'm a noob?).
Can you post any links where I can read instructions to enable ACPI? What's the difference between ACPI and APM? Do you know if genkernel use to enable ACPI (considering it was used on a laptop)?
Thanks |

hi luckyland,
it's in the kernel configuration.
just do make menuconfig, and the option is there.
I still have my workable gentoo-dev-2.6.5-r1 kernel config file saved, breeded for my toshiba laptop, works flawlessly
(of course, it's after a few poking around )
just IM me if you need it. |
