so,..it detects my modem but fails to connect ,

my friends who have RHL8 and mandrake also face the same problem

ive downloaded a driver, but dont know howto install/configure/do whatever to it, im anewbie so please help

chromium working very slow,someone said me about glxinfo

rendering is disabled(or whatever ,i donno). how to make it to work

i would generally suggest u to try another more user friendly distro for a newbie. Try emerge nvidia-kernel and emerge nvidia-glx and then edit ur /etc/X11/xorg.conf file as it is said in nvidia-kernel readme.
