Hallo,
nachdem ich endlich OpenGL mit einer Mobility M6 hinbekommen habe muss ich sagen, das ich mehr als enttäuscht bin.
Jede OpenGL Anwendung ruckelt wie sau.
GLXGears auf Vollbild hat nur 14fps. das ist für eine 1ghz cpu mit mobility m6 zu wenig.
Selbst der GLMatrix aus den Xscreensavern ruckelt oder GLTron.
Hat wer eine idee woran das liegen kann? |

Ok, ich habe die aktuellen ATI Treber emerged.
opengl-update hab ich auch gemacht.

und schon haben wir das Problem.
Die ATI Treiber sind nicht richtig geladen worden..
Nutzt Du kernel 2.6.6 ??
Dort gibt es nämlich eine Option die Du nicht aktivieren darfst
Zu finden unter Processor type and features
[ ] Use register arguments (EXPERIMENTAL)
Häckchen weg, ati treiber neu installieren, opengl-update ati, glücklich sein! |

Ich hab den Kernel 2.6.5.
wenn ich das häckchen weg machen mit make menuconfig, muss ich den kernel dann neu kompilieren?
hab grade mal nachgeschaut, das häckchen ist weg 
nochwas, das liegt bestimmt daran, das ich in der xorg.conf driver "radeon" drin habe und nicht fglrx. aber wenn ich fglrx nehme startet der x serer nicht bekomme die fehlermeldeung screen not found.

das kommt aufs gleiche raus. sobald ich als treiber "fglrx" habe kommt "no screens found" hab das fglrxconfig bestimmt schon 10x gemacht |

ich denke einfach, das meine grafikkarte nicht von den treibern unterstützt wird. da wenn ich das modul von hand laden wll folgender fehler kommt.

die radeon treiber die bei xorg dabei sind gehen ja, aber so langsam, das man opengl nicht benutzen kann.
Ok, hab hier nen Thread gefunden, der sagt das die org. ati treiber mit r100 karten nicht laufen und man nur die x treiber nehmen kann. in deren frame bereichen bin ich mit meiner auch. also ist das ganz normnal. fu**
