Ok, kernel 2.2.20, and I'm trying to set up this linux box as a router. So, I plugged one ethernet cable from the computer into my DSL modem, and the other ethernet from my computer into my switch to provide internet for all the computers in this network. But whenever I try and start pmfirewall to detect my external IP (Earthlink ADSL), it gives me a bunch of error messages like this:
ipchains: protocol not available
ipchains: invalid mask `' provided
It sets up eth1, since that's my internal deely and I specified the address and netmask, but it doesn't get my earthlink DNS servers, or ip, or anything, which should be provided seeing as earthlink assigns them via DHCP. Any ideas?
