Sicuramente includerei tra le meglio supportate quelle che usano chip Brooktree (BT 878 e 848) e Philips (saa7130/34)

io ho una con chip phlips e non sono riuscito ad animarla e ho sentito molti che hanno avuto solo problemi...

confermo per il saa7134 ...ho appena messo a puntino una vecchia macchina con una scheda tv che monta questo chip ed è una bomba...funziona tutto benissimo, anche il telecomando

Io ho una Terratec 600TV. Funziona tutto quanto radio FM e telecomando inclusi.

io ho usato una zoltrix tvmax con chipset bt848, acquisivo con mencoder ma arrivato a 2G (15 minuti) il filmato si corrompeva.
Adesso ho una hauppauge pvr250, con linux non ho provato, ma comunque i driver sono stati sviluppati:

io ho una Ati Tv Wonder, con chip bt878, una bomba, peccato che non si trova più, forse nell'usato.
con mencoder o gv4l catturo a 720x576 in mpeg4, in win non arrivava sopra i 384x288, il messaggio di errore che ne veniva fuori mi avvertiva che la scheda non poteva superare quella risoluzione, ma questo linux non lo sa e se ne frega

io suggerisco una bella hauppage di 3-4 anni fa
se ne trovano in giro per pochi euri, e credo che con gli ultimi service pack di win gli abbiano scasinato il vecchio software applicativo, per cui si portano via con poco. e sotto linux sono una bomba

In riferimento alla ATi TV Wonder, con mencoder riesci a catturare anche l'audio insieme al video?

Io ti consiglierei una bella Cinergy Terratec con chipset philips saa7134 che nel kernel 2.6 ha supporto nativo e va che e' una bomba...io ho la 400, se vuoi anche la radio prendi la 600

confermo ho una bt848 e funziona lissia come l'olio con il 2.6....... poi il mio problema è che non ho un'antenna vicino al pc, ma quella è un'altra storia

questo post mi ha convinto a tirare fuori dall'armadio una vecchia scheda tv
con chipset BT848 .. compilato il modulo sotto kernel 2.6.5-r1 e
compilato tvtime ..
il problema è che non funge .. tvtime mi dice no signal ...
manca qualcosa all'appello ?

Io ho una Terratec Cinergy 200, compilato i dirver nel kernel, vedo il corrispondente device, ma non c'è segnale video, o meglio credo...quanto faccio la ricerca dei canali con xavtv non ne trovo...premetto che su win funziona bene, quindi escludo malfunzionamenti hardware.

il risultato è che non acchiappa i canali ..

ho provato diversi programmi kdetv tvtime etc ...
il risultato è sempre uguale
