I have a machine here with a Sata Hard Drive, and I have a 2004.1 minimal boot CD. I *cannot* get the drives to detect. Is there something I have to modprobe here or what? _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

Did you try the smp kernel (2.6). Give smp as bootoption. It should detect it as /dev/sd* |

try to booting with
smp-nofb pnpbios=off
and after it will detect your serial ata drives on /dev/sda..... |
