Hauppauge PVR-250MCE

Just curious if anyone has a PVR-250MCE working in linux with MythTV. I thought it looked very interesting as it has a variable bit rate encoder in it. It has 2Mbit 4Mbit 6Mbit 8Mbit 12Mbit per sec encoding. I am real curious about this because it could save time and space reencoding shows like Andy Griffith or Leave it to Beaver as I don't need the default 8Mbit on the other Haupauge cards. If you have seen the variable encoding rate working in linux please let me know how well it worked and what is needed to change the bitrate. Thanks for any help you can give me as this card looks like an ideal one.
