Hi,
I am installing gentoo the first time. My Hardware is an Shuttle AMD64 Barbone with NVidia enforce 3 chipset. The mouse is recognized as an Standard PS/2 Wheel mouse by the live CD and working perfectly (while using live CD) (It is a logitech wireless keyboard an mouse)
Now i build from stage 2 2004.0 and created my own kernel. Every time, when I am moving the mouse the keyboard was hanging and I am only be able to shutdown remotly via ssh.
I assume, that there is something wrong with my kernel config therefore I am posting here - because the livecd is working I do not think about a general hardware problem. Many thanks for any hints
Martin
Hi, the reason for this problem was a bios setting. USB keyborad and mouse support was enabled there. This causes, that some PS2 mouse do not work (other PS2 models yes! ).
This was really a trap .. ![Twisted Evil ](images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) |
