I have one p3 400mhz and one AMD XP1800+. This emerge is made on my p3 and resulting in almost the double time.... Then I runned distccmon-text it seemed that only the AMD (remote) was doing the work... but a "top" on the AMD didnt show much cpu-usage...
First one is on my p3, Second one is with distcc:

merge time: 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 32 seconds.
Sat May 29 21:17:43 2004 --> dev-db/mysql-4.0.18-r2
merge time: 2 hours, 7 minutes, and 50 seconds.
