Hi all,
I have a Logitech Access keyboard, model Y-SR34. There a couple of extra multimedia keys provided which i am trying to configure.
Unfortunately, only some of the keys are getting recognised but there are two keys which do not give any scan code in xev.
The keys are for "Messenger/SMS" and "Webcam", is there any way i can get these working in xev. I have already tried lineakd and khotkeys but if there are no scancodes present, these apps cannot do anything.
My input section in XF86Config looks like this
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard1"
Driver "Keyboard"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "logicdn"
Option "XkbLayout" "gb"
EndSection
-----------------------------------------------------------------
any ideas?
Thanks |

You sure you got the right keyboard model in xkbmodel? According to what you have there, the keyboard should be "Logitech Cordless Desktop Navigator"
Here, from /etc/X11/xkb/rules/xfree86.lst:
Code: |
ltcd Logitech Cordless Desktop
logicdit Logitech Cordless Desktop iTouch
logicdp Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro
logicdpa Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro (alternate option)
logicdpa2 Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro (alternate option2)
logicdo Logitech Cordless Desktop Optical
logicfn Logitech Cordless Freedom/Desktop Navigator
logicdn Logitech Cordless Desktop Navigator
logidak Logitech Deluxe Access Keyboard
logiik Logitech Internet Keyboard
itouch Logitech iTouch
logiitc Logitech iTouch Cordless Keyboard (model Y-RB6)
logiik Logitech Internet Keyboard
logiink Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard
itouchin Logitech iTouch keyboard Internet Navigator

Maybe you want "logidak"?
cheers... |

Actually, my model does not even exist in the list. I checked the photographs of the keyboards in lineakconfig and logicdn is the closest i have found. It has the SMS key in it.
Btw, is it possible to define a new keyboard on my own?
Thanks |
