Hi!
I got a DLINK DWL-G520+ pci card connected to my PC and tried to install the driver from https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=122584&highlight=acx100. I really have a ACX111 chip (DWL-G520+ rev A2). The driver seems to load mor e or less OK but I get a lot of these kinda messages in /var/log/messages
May 31 22:37:41 mindator UHOH, packet has a different length than struct framehdr (0x26 vs. 0x20)
I am trying to setup the card as wlan0 with IP 192.168.0.2 and I can see it in iwconfig and ifconfig. I had to download the firmware for the DWL-G650+ card since DLINK don't have any firmwares for the DWL-G520+ card but I guess it should work since the ship should be the same right??
bash-2.05b# lspci |grep ACX
0000:00:11.0 Network controller: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface
bash-2.05b# iwconfig
wlan0 IEEE 802.11b+ ESSID:"casa" Nickname:"acx100 v0.2.0pre8"
Mode:Auto Channel:4 Access Point: 71:31:79:9C:5F:AB
Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm
Retry min limit:5 RTS thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=42/100 Signal level=19/100 Noise level=0/100
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
I beleive the card doesn't connect since the Link quality seems to be to poor. Also don't ask me were the Access Point MAC comes from since it is not this one. I have a D-Link 624+ router as access point and I can't reaach it. From my laptop (running Windows with a DWL-G650+ in the same room I have 80 Signal Strength and Link quality)
OK so who got it to work?
Thanks a milliion |

I have drivers for DWL-g520+ rev A2 if you want them. You just have to tell me and I could send them to you.
I'm new in Gentoo and and didn't tried it for the moment (not enough time ) but I want to do it . |
