IL2 Forgotten Battles Does not start

I recently installed IL-2 FB and when i start it with WineX it shows the loading screen (A picture in the middle of my desktop) then WineX crashes with cd or with no-cd crack.

Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this problem

PS: It doesn't even get to the main menu screen.

I for one would be very supriced if IL-2 (any of them) which are total resource hogs ever works in WineX.

IL2 barely runs on a native Windows system unless it is an absolute monster of a machine. I too would have my doubts about it under WineX

Just calm down, I've got it working here. Can you run the winex3 command from a terminal and post any output you get? That way I can tell you what to try.

BTW, it doesn't work with the no-CD crack; some sort of Java error. :roll:

too late i gave up on this IL-2 thing and the gave the cd to my friend whos now in another state.

BTW there was no error message

The loading screen pops up (the one still on ur desktop) and then WineX crashes
