what kernel options other than PMCIA support should I make sure to enable for a laptop (generic...not getting specific between brands) |

Spent 2 min googling and the consesus seems to be acpi. |

Generally, probably acpi. But my IBM ThinkPad 390 (ooooold) definately prefers apm. |
