I cant pass thru GRUB process

Hi,

I have succesfully install gentoo from Stage1 using iso with the pppoe patch. I have reach the part where I need to reboot my system. Of course I have spent my last 24 hours just compiling the basic stuff. After I rebooted, the whole screen filled with 'grub' word. I dont understand what happen. I tried to search in the forum for this problem, but I cant find any relevance. Any help appreciated.
