I'm currently trying to copy some audio CDs, but it is just SLOW.
K3b shows me an estimated write speed of ~2X and the buffer is nearly unused.
The first device is an Toshiba SDM-1712 DVD drive, the second device is an LiteOn 52X CD-RW recorder.
In everyday's use (includes burning data CDs), both drives perform well, but when it comes to ripping or copying audio CDs, I have big performance problems.
Hay anyone made similar experiences? |

Are they on the same IDE bus?
What about if you rip the cd into an iso image and then burn that, how does it perform then?
Are you certain you've set the drive speed correctly?

Yes, they are on the same bus and if I rip the CD on the CD-RW drive and burn the tracks afterwards, it performs well.
Ripping it as an image causes my CD player not to recognize it as an audio CD...
The drive speed is set correctly in k3b. |
