Hi to all:

I have a great problem. As i have now my network (I have received a new wireless router ) one of my computers is not able to connect to the router (no pings, only some reach the router). I have discovered that if i change the speed mode in windows (not automatic, but forcing 10 Mpbs half-duplex) the network goes well. How can i change that in linux??? I was very happy with my gentoo, i want to use it!
In the future, i will buy a wireless card to access, because this is only a workaround, but for now...
Dows anyone know how to change this? Do i have to recompile the ethernet card module? I use 8139too.

Thanks a lot!!!

NEW: i've discovered how to do it with my module in: http://www.ovislink.com.tw/DRIVERS/8139/linux-help.htm

But now i don't know how to tell linux to load the module with the options i want... can anyone help me?

Thanks again!!!

You should be able to do this with the "mii-tool".
mii-tool is in the mii-diag package.
After emerging "mii-diag", you can check the usage of mii-tool in "man mii-tool"

But maybe you should check your cables/interfaces first and connect an 100Mb FD?
