Is there a better "front-end" for iptables?
like a gui program? some thing that would make the script for you? a website?
any thing..
i checked out firestarter but thats just too non configurable.. that makes very simple firewall. _________________ omp:

Have you checked out webmin? It can configure iptables among many other things. Not sure how advanced the iptables config is though.
EDIT: Make sure to update modules from within webmin to get latest bugfixes. Do so from the Webmin Category, Webmin Cofiguration-> Upgrade Webmin icon (not the webmin modules icon). _________________ /Joakim

I prefer doing the configuration by myself, but you can try firewall builder.
Never used it, but looks nice. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

Yes, if you haven't already done so just "emerge fwbuilder; emerge iputils" and be happy.
Fwbuilder really rocks. I'm using it for more than 1 or 2 years now and it is really relatively easy to use and, really really powerfull. It is _way_ better than anything webmin-based I have ever seen... |
