Can anyone recommend a good GUI ftp server app for the my
Gentoo box. I've had a W2k server running and I want to switch
my ftp server over to the Gentoo box. I prefer to use a GUI to manage
the user accounts and disk access. Can anyone recommend one. |

I would recommend trying proftpd, and using webmin to administer it. You would be surprised how easy most packages are to manage with webmin - it is a rather nice tool...
It also gives a lot of controil over other system tasks, apache, postfix(or other mtas).

i say use proftpd - with gproftpd (its a gnome GUI) real easy to setup after you install gproftpd you dont have to make REAL accounts on your box for people to use and such... |
