Hi i have some problems with ATI "What i have xorg-x11 + ati-3.9.0, AMD 2200+, asus a7v8x AGP 8x, Radeon 9200 SE game buster 128mg" This are my benchmarks:

$ glxgears
410 frames in 5.0 seconds = 82.000 FPS
426 frames in 5.0 seconds = 85.200 FPS
425 frames in 5.0 seconds = 85.000 FPS
425 frames in 5.0 seconds = 85.000 FPS
425 frames in 5.0 seconds = 85.000 FPS
424 frames in 5.0 seconds = 84.800 FPS

$ fgl_glxgears
424 frames in 5.0 seconds = 84.800 FPS
419 frames in 5.0 seconds = 83.800 FPS
424 frames in 5.0 seconds = 84.800 FPS
425 frames in 5.0 seconds = 85.000 FPS

In other Operating Systems, i have this benchmark, in Enemy-terriroty the worst case is 20 fps and the best is 90 fps

With my gentoo i have worst case 10 fps best case 70 fps.

Is Reiser 3.6 a factor of low performance ? Or is my xorg.conf not proprily tuned ?

With the old version of ati-drivers in glxgears my score was 2000 fps and in fgl_glxgears 170 fps

If you have the same problems or if you can tune xorg.conf for best performance, please help me with this, thanx.

here is my xorg.conf:

You have vertical sync enabled - this caps your framerate at the vertical refresh rate of your monitor. So if your refresh rate is 85Hz, you'll never get more than 85fps. To turn it off, just change this line in your xorg.conf:
Code:
Option "Capabilities" "0x00000800"

to
Code:
Option "Capabilities" "0x00000000"

and restart X.

Yeah !!!

glxgears:
15505 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3101.000 FPS
15645 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3129.000 FPS
15633 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3126.600 FPS
15653 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3130.600 FPS

fgl_glxgears:
701 frames in 5.0 seconds = 140.200 FPS
719 frames in 5.0 seconds = 143.800 FPS

Thank very much Wedge_
