hi

i had a perfectly working system with mm-sources (2.6.5) and samba (2.2.8a) when my server crashed during a loss of power. now it is up again but i got significant samba performace problems.

from my linux server to my linux / windows desktops:
-> no problem, as quick as ever

from linux / windows desktops to linux server:

ftp and smb: around 50k to 150k/s
scp: 700k/s

-> ifconfig on the specifig network card shows a huge amount of errors and carriers for TX packets! ( the primary card doesn't show them)

Any idea how i can get my 5-7mb/s back?

[UPDATE & SOLUTION]
I just compiled a new kernel and the problem was gone ;)
