Rather than having to remember to add --buildpkg everytime I emerge a package, is it posible to set it permanently?
I was thinking perhaps in make.conf, possibly in the FEATURES= setting, however I dont know what to set in there.
If it is not already a setting, then perhaps it should be. Do the developers read this or should I post a bug? _________________ Deedle Deedle Dee, Wubba Wubba Wubba |

Yeah, that'd be really useful.
From the description of the Gentoo Suggestions forum:
"The developers do not have the time/resources to monitor both the forum and mailing list, submit serious suggestions to bugs.gentoo.org." |

I should have looked through the bug reports - Ive spent enough time on there tonight as it is
For those that are interested, you can apparently add EMERGE_OPTS= to make.conf and pass any permanent options to emerge that way.
eg:
EMERGE_OPTS="--buildpkg"
