pcmcia scripts

i have pcmcia-cs installed with yenta_socket on my sony vaio pcg-c1 vg. I have 3 pcmcia devices ie
ide-cs : sony cd-rom drive external
ndiswrapper : broadcom chip based Linsys WPC54G
eth0 aka 8139too : DFE-690 TXD (dlink)

i need a mechanism so that whenever i insert my devices they get configured automatically ..like may be give me a dialog in X ...

i have an idea that its all to do about hot plugging.

besdies that I have USB and IEEE-1394 and a sda. initially i had plans to build a custom application for my own need (and make it available to others ) but like most of my other projects i just got distrated on paper

...thought y not just take a shortcut.
