Its very annoying *or at least i find it* when the system asks to update 99 or so /etc/ files.
I dont wanna sit there doing etc-update and go through them all if i dont have to ...
Is there any automated way to accept the new file or something?

You might want to check out Naan Yaar's Updating unmodified config files automatically thread.
The key to this script is, it will only update files that have not been modified by you. In most cases, this should reduce the number you have to go through manually. Also note that this script should be run before an emerge -c. Also, AUTOCLEAN="no" must be set in /etc/make.globals. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
