Hi,
I've just finished installing Gentoo on my shiny new Dell Inspiron 2650, and I've written a preliminary howto about it, you can read it at http://campus.uab.es/~2075931/gentooinstall.
Particularly, getting DMA on the hard drive was not immediate (2.4.19 kernel doesn't allow it) and found that OSS worked better than ALSA (!).
Anyway, I welcome any comments for improving it.
(BTW, I've heard that linux-laptops is semi-dead, not posting new submissions... any ideas?)[/url] |
