I'm having some trouble with konqueror: I somehow managed to delete the mimetype application/octet-stream. I can create a new one, but I have no idea what the options are.
Could some kind soul post these setting please?
Edit: This problem is not just specific to konqueror, but to all kde apps.

Ok I've fixed it. The problem file was:
~/.kde/share/mimelnk/application/octet-stream.desktop
I checked all the other accounts on my machine, and found that none conatined this file. So, I assumed it was not needed, and deleted it. Problem solved!
I'm assuming KDE now uses the system-wide default for this mimetype. |
