Similar problem.
I'm setting up a small home network between badjelly (win95) and binklebonk (gentoo) machines. They bith see the network cards ok but I cannot ping either machine.
I have not set any IP addresses but from what I've read so far it should work. When I ping anything on the gentoo box it replys with something like network unreachable.
Any helpers.
Regards
Tim

How are you getting your IP addresses, then? DHCP? What does "ifconfig eth0" say? How about "route -n"? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
