I have a Dell C840 that I am using the Gentoo-dev kenel on (2.6.5-gentoo-r1).
I am having problems with a Sierra Wireless card (ac750).
The pcmcia is working as I am using it via my Cisco 340 Aironet card at the moment.
I have followed the Sierra guidelines here: http://mycusthelp.com/sierrawireless/supportkbitem.asp?sSessionID=&Inc=192&sFilA=FAQ%20Category&sFilB=Products&sFilC=&KEY=Linux
Which essentially get you to create a new definition other than the standard modem ones.
I do not get a /dev/modem created when I insert th card as per their instructions.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
Matt
