Hey, I'm trying to get my synaptics touchpad working on my laptop... with the liveCD, everything is fine and dandy and the device maps to /dev/psaux as it should, but I can't get my kernel to recognize it. I have PS/2 mice enabled in the Mice section, but dmesg never indicates anything about it. |

Have you configured the gpm.conf file ???
If you try to enable gpm you should try this in your /etc/conf.d/gpm.conf
Mouse type PS2
device /dev/psaux
than /etc/init.d/gpm (re)start |
