Has anyone bothered to try hardened-dev-sources? Anything in particular to watch out for?
I'd look for myself, were it not for the fact that I have to compile it for a completely different architecture (i.e. not runnable on my current one) and I don't have access to the target machine until tomorrow - when I have to have it up and running as quickly as possible :D

Could someone please list the patches which are applied to the vanilla-kernel by hardened-dev-sources?
I could not find it anywhere (except maybe downloading the patchset itself).

I have a small test system running hardened-dev-sources on a VIA Samuel 2 CentaurHauls(C3). It's running smoothely so far but it's not completely set up yet. Still have to activate Grsecurity.

I've also tried hardened-dev-sources on a VIA Nehemiah CentaurHauls(C3-2) but it fails to properly boot. Hanging with:

Code:

Freeing unused kernel memory: 152k freed

So if anyone have it working with C3-2 I would very much like to know.

I also would like to know what patches have been applied to hardened-dev-sources. Also what are the differences between hardened-dev sources and gentoo-dev-sources(which patches haven't been applied and which have).
And at what kernel version are the hardened-dev-sources? (2.6.5-r1 ?)

Code:

ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -pv hardened-dev-sources

and have a look.
