|
|
hi,
i want to share the home-dirs of the users on a linux server ..
some users are on windows and some are on linux...
i thought about webdav..... the windows users can mount it, the linux users can either mount it or user nautilus/konqueror.
questions:
1. is this a good idea?
2. is this secure enough?
3. what configuration is necessary? i have apache2 running, and enabled DAV in the config files... where do i have to put the info about the users home folders? and...will i have to add the directories for every user to the config, or is there a wildcard like way to share all users home folders?
4. i serve some pages on normal-HTTP (port80), but the webdav shares i only want to be shared on https (port443). how can i tell apache to do this?
thanks a lot,
