Hi!
I am using the courier mta for ESMTP. For several reasons I don't want the MTA to see the IP adresses of users accessing it. So I thought about opening a second port with an simple socket proxy which forwards the traffic to the MTA changing the source IP to localhost.
Actually I am looking for a package offering the feature, after I found out that there is no way doing this with iptables.
So I wonder if anyone ever set up such a function, or if there is a package in gentoo offering the feature I am looking for.
Maybe someone also found an other solution to get rid of the "Received: from users.ip.address" field in email headers using courier.
regards
