Wait on Final Release?

I am about to upgrade my server from redhat 7.2 to Gentoo 1.4 and was wondering if I should wait. Will there be any difference between installing RC1 now and waiting till the final release? Wouldn't it esentially be 1.4 when that is release, from normal updates? Is there any reason I should wait?
