CAVEAT UTILITOR: ipw2100-0.46-r1 was harmful to my notebook.
I recently updated to ipw2100-0.46-r1. Load that driver failed and I was forced to reboot. I could help myself out of that by downgrading back to ipw2100-0.44.
Since I loaded the kernel modules of ipw2100-0.46-r1 once and failed my pcmcia slot is defunct and does not work with Linux or Windows XP any more. The pcmcia-cs cardctl can not identify any 16bit or pccard I try.
I have a JVC MP-XP731 Centrino notebook, use the kernel from gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.5-r1, the yenta_socket module and need to run a D-Link DE-660 for a second wired ethernet link.
Had someone experienced the same trouble? |
