Salve a tutti, spero di non rompere le scatole se ritiro in mezzo questo discorso... :D

Ho seguito la guida su gentoo per attivare il bootsplash ed il framebuffer su kernel 2.6.5 (uso gentoo-dev-sources)

Apparentemente tutto funziona, ho linkato il bootsplash del livecd2004.2.
Partono le modalita' silent e verbose.

Il problema e' il framebuffer...infatti all'ultimo, appena prima di avviare kdm mi ricompare il vecchio framebuffer (quello usato la prima volta, quando lanciai genkernel --bootsplash per intenderci)

Eppure l'immagine del framebuffer del livecd2004.2 non dovrebbe essere "la solita" mucca sul lato destro con la scritta gentoo rossa ! :D

Devi cambiare il tema di default, che è rimasto quello vecchio.
Cerca in /etc/conf.d/bootsplash la riga riguardo al tema, e metti lì il nome di quello nuovo :)

No! Perche' lui ha rifatto il link default e in quel file trovi

E' vero... non avevo notato :oops:

Però il "sintomo" è proprio quello.... io sulla mia macchina non ho rifatto il link default, e avevo lo stesso problema, risolto mettendo il nome del tema in BOOTSPLASH_THEME
