Problem with Lacie firewire external hard drive

Hi,

I want to use my external drive on my gentoo box.
It's a Lacie 120 g firewire drive.
I read things about usb-storage. I think i 've loaded all the necessary modules.
I using gentoo source kernel:

this is the line i put in my fstab:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/lacie ext3 noauto,users,rw 0 0

but i can't find any /dev/sda1

bash-2.05b# mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt/lacie
mount: special device /dev/sda1 does not exist

What should i do to get this external drive mounted ?
