Every three seconds or so, gkrellm2 starts a new thread that spikes CPU usage to 100%. Oddly, this happens when running only gkrellmd also...but it doesn't happen for my server. Does anybody know why gkrellm would do this, and if it is maybe an amd64 problem? |

if you have asus k8v board with marvell 88E8001 gigabit lan, unloading the sk98lin module. And take another network controller, as long as the problem is not "removed".
edit: with 2.6.7 kernel makes gkrellm no problems, if sk98lin is loaded. _________________ MAKE MY DAY |

More details:
It seems I can connect to my server's gkrellmd daemon without these strange spikes, therefore the problem is somewhere in how gkrellm reads system information.
I am using Realtek 8139 gigabit lan.
Compiling with -m32 results in a segfault. |
