Each plugin has to be compiled separately.
Code: | emerge [ mythvideo | mythweb | mythmusic | mythweather | etc. ] |

I have done that but nothing shows up in the mythfrontend. The menu only has TV and there are no setup options for any of the plugins. I have to be missing something... _________________ John

Are your mythfrontend and mythbackend machine's separate? If they are, then you must have only compiled them on the server and not the client. Most of them are client side plugins _________________ Your sig is better than my sig.

No they are on the same pc. A dual processor Tyan thunder with 2 MP 2200 cpus and kernel 2.6.4-gentoo compiled with smp support. I am using the 0.15 versions and this is my first install of mythtv. I may have compiled it from source once then used an ebuild later could this be causing the problem? _________________ John

Are you scrolling through the entire menu? I remember when I first installed them I didn't realized that the options were on the next page down. _________________ Your sig is better than my sig.

I'll take a look at that. I am not sure this is the case because I have tried the random theme and it did not come up on any of the menus. _________________ John

I found the problem. For some reason myth tv was looking in /usr/local/share instead of /usr/share for the plugins. This was probably a result of installing it from make install before running the ebuild. _________________ John
